Spoilers: Saga's areas & mechanicsNames Saga's areas, tools and collectible mechanics through Return 6. No plot twists, no endings. Every code, symbol order and key spot stays hidden until you open it.
Cult Stashes are locked supply crates hidden around Saga's three areas. Each one has a clue
on or near it that tells you how to open it. There are 22: five in Cauldron Lake, eight in Watery
and nine in Bright Falls. Most hold supplies, but three hold something permanent — two
Inventory Upgrades and the Crossbow — and whichever stash you open last holds a key to
one more upgrade.
Before you start — the easy-to-miss ones
The Sheriff's Station Evidence Room stash can only be opened in Return 6. It's the one you can miss. Saga's open areas close at the end of Return 6, after a warning.
Your last stash holds the Lighthouse Key. It opens the Watery Lighthouse, which has another Inventory Upgrade and two manuscript pages. Get back there before you accept the end-of-Return 6 warning.
Five need the Bolt Cutters from Return 5, and eight only open up once an area's flooding has cleared.
Lost track? In Return 3, the board of maps inside the Kalevala Knights Workshop marks every stash you haven't opened yet.
How the locks work
Every stash uses one of four locks. The clue always points at something close by, and a lot of it
is painted in yellow that only shows under your flashlight.
Number lock
Three digits. The clue tells you what to count or read nearby — painted sums, numbered objects, or a short word problem.
Symbol lock
Three twig symbols made of paired triangles. They're painted around the area, and the clue tells you which ones and in what order.
Key
A named stash key is hidden nearby. The drawing on the lid hints where, often by pointing you along flashlight arrows.
Memory pad
Buttons light up in a pattern; press them back in the same order. A restart button replays the pattern.

What keeps a stash shut
If you can see a stash but can't reach or open it, one of these is why. Everything except the
Evidence Room stays available until the end of Return 6.
Flooding
OpensEach area's flooding clears as you progress: Cauldron Lake's in Return 2, Watery's in Return 3, and Bright Falls' southern woods later in Return 5.
BlocksHidden Lakeshore Beach (2), Streamside Campsite (3), Ledge Below the Private Cabin (4), Lighthouse Trailer Park (10), Downtown Watery Pier (12), Woods South of Valhalla (16), Trail to the Ranger Station (17), Ridge Above the Ranger Station (18).

The last stash
RewardWhichever stash you open last also holds the Lighthouse Key. Take it to the Watery Lighthouse for an Inventory Upgrade and two manuscript pages.
Don't needThe Screwdriver. No stash needs it — at most it lets you read a hint for the Lighthouse Trailer Park key (10).

Show the solution how to open
Watch which buttons light up, then press them back in the same order — about three presses here. The restart button replays the pattern if you lose it.
Where At a campsite with a picnic table just west of the Witch's Ladle sign, near the bridge toward Streamside. The path opens once the flooding clears.
Clue Only a light-bulb drawing on the lid.
Inside A Hand Flare, shotgun ammo and one more supply.

Switch your flashlight on — yellow arrows appear on the rocks and trees.
Follow them south to the Streamside Stash Key, lying on a rock under the last arrow.
Where East of the Hunting Shack on the trail toward Coffee World. Take the right branch at the trail-map sign, crawl under the fallen log, and climb to the outcrop at the end of the narrow ravine.
Clue A button pad that lights up in a pattern.
Inside A Propane Tank and shotgun ammo.

Repeat the lit pattern in the same order — one press longer than the lakeshore pad.

Ignore the yellow painted arrows — they lead you in a loop.
Follow the wooden signs with white arrows downhill.
The Bunker Woods Stash Key is on the ground under the sign that points down, by a tree and a rock. If it isn't there, check the sloping rock just below the stash.
Where Under a tree with a yellow arrow, between the southern Bunker Woods break room and the Ranger Station. Taken usually guard it. Reachable once the flooding recedes later in Return 5.

Count the lines in each shape: a single line (1), a triangle with a line through it (4), a hexagon (6).
Every code and symbol order above is one that most guides agree on. These details don't fully line up, so they're flagged here instead of guessed:
Ledge Below the Private Cabin (4). Most guides give 658. One lists 685 and another 568 — if 658 doesn't open it, re-read the sums nearest-first.
Lighthouse Outcrop (11). Two guides describe symbol I or III differently. The order above matches the majority and follows the painted numerals, so trust the numerals if they disagree with this page.
When some stashes appear. Guides disagree on whether the Bunker Woods Hilltop (14) and Abandoned Pickup Truck (15) are there in Return 4 or only from Return 5, and on whether the Elderwood Palace Lodge pad (19) is already there in Return 1. This page's filter uses the earliest reported chapter.
Woods South of Valhalla (16). Most guides put the key under the down-pointing wooden sign; one puts it on the sloping rock just below the stash. The steps above cover both.
Supplies. Only two guides list what's inside the ordinary stashes. They agree on most items but not always on which kind of flare, so those are just called "a flare".
New Game Plus. It's reported that in The Final Draft the Crossbow stash (7) starts open if you already have the Crossbow, and the Harbor Street Shed (20) is empty if you opened it before, because upgrades carry over.
