The new gear rules
Start here if you're returning. Everything — stats, archetypes, tiers, perks, and the DPS meta — was reworked in the Edge of Fate / Monument of Triumph era. These two guides decode the systems every build sits on top of.
Armor 3.0
The reworked stat system, all twelve archetypes, the 1–5 tier ladder, masterworking, and how to build a Guardian again under the new rules.
Open guideWeapon System
Weapon tiers 1–5, an easier role-first decision flow, archetype-by-archetype PvE use cases, perk recipes, frame-intrinsic champions, and roll targets.
Open guideClasses & builds
One guide per class — identity, all six subclasses, five meta builds, fragment staples, and Armor 3.0 buildcraft — plus a cross-class deep-dive on Prismatic, the subclass that mixes Light and Dark. Then go a layer deeper: the Subclasses & Builds hub, a per-element deep dive for Solar, Arc, Void, Stasis and Strand across all three classes, and a Buildcrafting guide that wires the whole loop together.
Warlock
The synergy class — Rifts, Soul Siphon, Phoenix Dive, and Transcendence. Six subclasses and five meta builds, from Solar Starfire to the Getaway Loop.
Open guideTitan
The frontline — reworked barricades (including the Solar Aspect Shieldburst), melees that one-shot, and ability loops. Five Monument-era builds, with Heart of Inmost Light as the universal engine.
Open guideHunter
The edge — invisibility, dodge resets, melee chains, and the cleanest burst Supers. Five builds, from the Gyrfalcon invis loop to Nighthawk DPS.
Open guidePrismatic
Light and Dark on one subclass. Transcendence, Facets, the reality-bending exotic class items, and the best build for each of the three classes.
Open guideSubclasses & Builds
The routing hub for the whole subclass system — the six subclasses, a Light-vs-Dark verb cheat sheet, and a "which element should I run?" decision table. Start here, then dive into an element.
Open guideBuildcrafting
How a build becomes a self-sustaining loop — super → aspects → fragments → exotic → mods → stats → set bonuses → champion frames. Reading the six stats for ability uptime, the 125% cooldown cap, and a worked build from scratch.
Open guidePvP & Crucible
For the players who came back to duel, not just to farm. The PvP spine: a Crucible hub for fundamentals and mode routing, a buildcrafting translation that reads Armor 3.0 for the duel instead of the room, and a weapon guide built on range bands and archetype jobs. It reuses everything the systems and class pages teach — pointed at Crucible.
PvP Buildcrafting
Armor 3.0 read for Crucible — co-equal Weapons and Health, the 12 archetypes sorted by duel job, mods that matter when someone shoots back, and a starter template for each class.
Open guidePvP Weapons
The range-band model instead of a brittle tier list — archetype jobs tagged by ammo, roll priorities for duels, the metered special-ammo economy, and where to farm Crucible loot.
Open guideDungeons
Start at the Dungeon Field Guide hub for roster triage and loot posture — read the Endgame Motifs page to spot the recurring mechanics — or jump straight to any of the 11 full deep-dive guides below.
Dungeon Field Guide
A roster guide to all 11 dungeons — mechanic summaries, run-risk notes, featured-week loot posture, and which dungeon to pick for your next solo, trio, or farm night.
Open guideEndgame Motifs
The recurring mechanics every dungeon leans on — symbol-reading, plate and relic carries, buff/debuff states, and the tether motifs. Learn the pattern once and you'll read a blind dungeon on sight.
Open guideRaids
Start at the Raid Field Guide hub for the full roster, the launch order to learn them in, and loot posture, open the newest raid The Desert Perpetual — or read the Endgame Motifs page for the recurring mechanics and jump into any of the 15 raid deep dives below.
Raid Field Guide
A roster guide to all 15 raids — the order to learn them in, complexity tiers, raid-exotic sources, and which fireteam-defining mechanic each one teaches. Current raids and the vaulted legacy lairs, side by side.
Open guideThe Desert Perpetual
Destiny 2's newest capstone raid — a non-linear hub, three temporal branch encounters, and the Koregos final loop, where the Vex try to fold Unknown Space into the Network. Normal and Epic split heavily — treat them as two very different tuning tiers.
Coming soonNightfalls
Returning from the "Nightfall: The Ordeal" days? They're now Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts. Start at the Nightfall Field Guide hub for the returning-player translation, use the Modifier Setup guide when the Portal launch screen gets confusing, then drop into any of the 18 route guides below.
Nightfall Field Guide
Where the Nightfall went, how Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts work, the difficulty→grade→Tier 5 reward ladder, a six-point GM readiness checklist, build routing, and a modifier glossary — Medusa, Focused Fire, banes, and the rest.
Open guideNightfall Modifier Setup
A practical launch-screen picker for Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts and custom Fireteam Ops: reward forecast first, which modifiers to add, which ones to avoid, and a Sunless Cell preset for first clears and Tier 5 farms.
Open guideProgression
Stuck on a Guardian Rank objective that won't tick? The Guardian Rank Walkthrough is the rank/objective translator — it tells Seasonal Hub Conquests apart from customizable Portal/Ops modifier chores, gets difficulty and unique clears right, and hands off to the modifier setup guide for the launch-screen picks.
Lore & Story
The story the game never quite says out loud — the Grimoire and lore-book tier. A codex covering Destiny 1 and 2 from before the universe through Renegades and the Monument of Triumph epilogue: a chronological timeline, the hidden cosmology, every faction's true history, and the figures the reveals hinge on. Now complete — the whole story, ending and all.
The Timeline
Eighteen eras from "Before the Sky" to the end of the story — the chronological spine, each beat carrying the lore-tab context that normal play skips right past.
Open guideThe Hidden Cosmology
The Gardener and the Winnower, Light and Dark as Sky and Deep, the Veil, the Sword Logic, paracausality, the Final Shape — the ideas underneath everything else.
Open guideThe Factions
Hive, Vex, Cabal, Eliksni, Awoken, Exo/Warmind, the Nine, the Witness and its Disciples — each with the true history the campaigns only gesture at.
Open guideThe Figures
The people the reveals hinge on — Oryx and the Hive sisters, the Disciples, Mara and the Crow, the Brays, Eris, Toland, and the rest.
Open guideOne family, ninety-six guides
What this is
A companion set to the ThePsychDr (aka ThePsych) Destiny 2 videos — each guide is a single, self-contained visual reference you can keep open on a second screen. No login, no ads.
They're built as a matched design family on purpose: shared type, shared layout, one accent color per topic. All art is hand-drawn CSS and SVG — deliberately no copyrighted Destiny imagery.
Where to start
- New or returning? Read Armor 3.0 and the Weapon System first — they explain the rules every build assumes.
- Then open your class for ready-made builds, the Subclasses & Builds hub for the per-element deep dives, and Buildcrafting to wire it all into a loop.
- Run endgame? Prismatic is the flexible default; the Dungeon Field Guide hub triages all 11 dungeons, and 8 of them have their own full encounter deep dive.
