FallenS.A.B.E.R.

A classic Cosmodrome strike, re-taught in modern Grandmaster Vanguard Alert language. Defend a crashed Warsat on the Old Russia surface, descend into Rasputin's Warmind bunker, manage champion frame coverage instead of old Artifact mods, and finish S.A.B.E.R.-2 — a giant modified Shank — across four immune-gated damage phases. House of Devils all the way down.

What this run really is

Fallen S.A.B.E.R. is a two-act Fallen strike — an exposed Warsat defense on the Cosmodrome surface, then a tight Warmind-bunker descent into a four-phase boss. In a Grandmaster Alert its danger isn't the layout, it's the low-cover opening defense and a boss that snipes from range and rushes you at the end. Survive the open ground in, then play the boss as a positioning fight, not a DPS race.

The one-sentence identity

Hold the crashed Warsat against House of Devils drop-ins while the Ghost scans, descend into Rasputin's bunker clearing the week's champions, then burn S.A.B.E.R.-2 across four immune phases — clearing summoned adds and Servitors between each.

Everything you bring serves three jobs: survive the opening defense, cover the champion types present, and deal burst on S.A.B.E.R.-2 without eating his Wire Rifle. Build for those, not for the trash.

What old guides get wrong

  • They call the boss a "S.A.B.E.R.-2 Servitor." It's a giant modified Shank with a Wire Rifle and turrets — Servitors are the adds it summons during immune phases, not the boss itself.
  • They tell you to slot a seasonal anti-Champion Artifact mod. Stun is frame-intrinsic now — bring the right archetypes (weapon guide).
  • They quote a fixed champion list. GM champion types and counts follow the weekly modifier set.
  • They name a specific Adept reward. The chase is the weekly Tier 5 weapon, and it changes every reset.
01 · Champion Coverage

Cover the frames, not the mods

Anti-Champion is built into weapon frames now — there's no Artifact mod to forget. Bring archetypes that cover the types the week assigns. Champion types follow the weekly modifier set.

Per weekly modifier set

Barrier

› Pierce / break the shield
Fallen Servitors wear the Barrier tag here. Bring a Barrier-intrinsic frame to strip the shield, then finish — and watch which Servitors are champions vs. the ones the boss summons. Don't waste a Super into an unbroken shield.
Per weekly modifier set

Overload

› Disrupt to stop the heal
Overload Captains teleport, shield up, and regenerate. An Overload frame interrupts them so they stop healing — focus them first during the Warsat defense and the bunker, or they reset the fight.
Per weekly modifier set

Unstoppable

› Stagger before it closes
Not a guaranteed type here, but champion frames rotate seasonally. If the week assigns Unstoppable, an Unstoppable frame staggers the carrier at range — stun, then delete. Always read the launch screen rather than trusting this column.
The modifier readout, every time: (1) enemy pressure — which champions, shields, and Fallen units; (2) weekly modifiers — surge, threat, banes, player stakes; (3) the single modifier most likely to wipe a casual team; (4) one build swap that answers it. Run that readout on the launch screen before every GM Alert. Champion types follow the weekly modifier set. The hub's modifier glossary explains Medusa, Focused Fire, and the rest.
02 · The Route

Surface to bunker, top to bottom

Five beats: the Warsat defense on the surface, the descent into the bunker, an electrified Arc-charge corridor, an interior champion gauntlet, and S.A.B.E.R.-2's arena. The opening defense is the part that fails the most GM teams — the rest is about when to push and when to hold cover. Here's the route at a glance; each beat below carries its own notes.

Beat · Warsat Defense

The Warsat Landing Zone

"The opening defense is where most GM teams actually fail."
The loop
  1. Drop onto the Cosmodrome surface (Forgotten Shore) at the crashed Warsat. The Ghost begins to scan / decrypt — your job is to hold the zone until it hits 100%.
  2. Fallen Skiffs drop reinforcements to the east and west. Watch both flanks; enemy and champion spawns are gated by scan progress, so they arrive in waves as the percentage climbs.
  3. This is a low-cover area — pick the cover you do have and rotate, don't root in the open. Clear champions the moment they appear so they don't stack with the next wave.
ChampionChampion types follow the weekly modifier set. Call each one as it spawns during the defense and answer it with the matching frame.
Most cited wipeThis opening is the segment most guides flag as where teams fail the GM: adds plus champions plus thin cover. Don't over-extend onto a flank — collapse on one Skiff's drop at a time.
PaceYou don't have to rush the scan — you have to survive it. Bank revive tokens here; a hero death on a flank early costs a token you'll want at S.A.B.E.R.-2.
2
Beat · Bunker Descent

Into the Warmind Bunker

"100% scan, then drop into Rasputin's facility."
The loop
  1. At 100% scan progress the fireteam drops into Rasputin's underground bunker. The fight goes from open ground to tight corridors instantly — reset your spacing.
  2. Push the corridors and a security-terminal chamber packed with Shanks, Dregs, and Marauders, with champions guarding the path deeper.
  3. Peek one corridor at a time and clear every champion before advancing — a left-behind Overload Captain teleporting up behind you in a tunnel is a free wipe.
MaraudersFallen Marauders cloak and flank in close quarters. Don't trust your radar alone — check corners and the catwalks above before you commit down a hall.
ChampionChampions guard the security terminal and the path down. Call the type, strip or disrupt with the right frame, then collapse together — tunnels make it easy to lose track of a teleporting Captain.
3
Beat · Arc Corridor

The Arc Charge Run

"Carry the core through live electricity on narrow catwalks."
The loop
  1. Escort or carry an Arc charge / power core through a hazardous electrified corridor to power open the way forward.
  2. Navigate the catwalks and avoid the electric stream / Arc hazards — the environment itself deals damage, on top of the Fallen contesting the run.
  3. Designate one carrier and let the rest clear ahead and watch flanks; don't let the carrier solo the room while juggling the core over the hazard.
Arc hazardThe electric stream is environmental damage — in GM it chunks you fast and stacks with enemy fire. Time your crossings between pulses; don't sprint blind across a live catwalk.
AmmoThis stretch is relatively contained. Use it to top up Special and Heavy and agree who grabs bricks before the champion gauntlet and boss.
4
Beat · Champion Gauntlet

The Interior Gauntlet

"The heaviest champion concentration of the strike, on raised platforms."
The loop
  1. Push the stairway / chamber sequence — including the Bunker War-4 room — with dense, layered enemy spawns leading into the boss room.
  2. Expect the heaviest champion stack of the run on raised platforms. Take the high ground deliberately; don't fight uphill into a champion's line.
  3. Clear platform by platform. Don't trigger the next spawn layer until the current champions are down and the team is stacked.
ChampionThis is the densest Overload / Barrier zone. Spread your frame coverage across the team so two champions of different types can be answered at once.
SightlinesThe raised platforms create long lanes. If Medusa or No Radar is active, shorten sightlines and hold a corner — don't hard-scope a platform you can't disengage from.
ResetThis is the last calm point before the boss. Reload, top ammo, regroup, and confirm everyone's Super and Heavy are ready before you step into the arena.

Boss · Final Chamber

S.A.B.E.R.-2, the giant Shank

"Four immune phases — and a sniper that one-shots, then a rush that one-shots."
The loop
  1. S.A.B.E.R.-2 — a giant modified Shank that opens with a Wire Rifle, then shifts into turret fire and a late melee rush — drops into the final chamber. Find hard cover that breaks its line of sight before you start shooting.
  2. Its health bar is split into four parts. Burn one segment, and the boss becomes immune and summons Fallen adds (including Servitors) (and Exploder Shanks).
  3. Clear the summoned adds / Servitors to drop the immunity, then resume DPS on the next segment. Repeat the damage-then-clear cycle across all four phases.
  4. While it still has the Wire Rifle, the sniper shot can one-shot from range — never break cover into its sightline during the opening damage window. Later phases trade that rifle for Void turrets and then a lethal close-range Arc rush.
  5. In a late phase the boss charges / rushes the fireteam, triggering an instant-kill explosion at close range. Keep an escape lane open and never get pinned in a corner near it.
PhasesThe opening rifle phase punishes exposed peeks; the middle turret phase punishes sloppy cover; the final rush punishes slow rotations. Call the current threat before every damage push.
ChargeThe late-phase rush detonates at close range and instantly kills. Watch for the charge tell, give it space, and never DPS with your back to a wall.
ImmunityYou can't skip the add waves — the immunity only drops once the summoned adds / Servitors are cleared. Assign add-clear so DPS resumes the instant the shield falls.

The giant Shank S.A.B.E.R.-2 opens from the centre with a one-shot Wire Rifle covering open sightlines, then loses the rifle and shifts into dual Void turret fire, and finally rushes with lethal close-range Arc pressure. Its health bar is split into four segments; after each is depleted it becomes immune and summons Fallen adds including Servitors around the rim. Players must clear those adds and Servitors to drop the immunity, then resume damage, repeating across four phases. Cover pillars sit around the edge to break sightlines; in the late phase keep an escape lane open. Damage from behind cover and never get pinned. Bring four jobs, not four guns

A GM team is happiest when each player owns a job. Full build cards live in the class guides and the Prismatic deep dive — these are the jobs to fill and the archetypes that fill them. Names rotate with the meta; the jobs don't.

Anchor / Control

Room control + self-sustain

Hold the Warsat zone and the bunker through add waves.

  • Warlock — Void Devour or the Prismatic Getaway loop.
  • Titan — Strand Banner of War for team woven mail.
  • A reliable add-clear Primary that respects the surge.

Champion Lock

Frame coverage

Carry the intrinsic stuns the week assigns.

  • Overload + Barrier frames as the baseline here.
  • Add the third type on weeks the launch screen lists it.
  • See the weapon guide for which archetypes carry each stun.

Boss Burst

Damage between immune phases

Burst the segment, then pull back behind cover.

  • Hunter — Nighthawk Golden Gun for a clean single-shot nuke.
  • Titan — Thundercrash as a burst swap.
  • A heavy you can fire-and-reposition (rocket / LFR).

Emergency Support

Safe revive / reset

The insurance that saves a token.

  • Hunter — Void invis (Gyrfalcon / Omnioculus) for safe rezzes.
  • A healing or overshield tool for the boss room.
  • A debuff (Tractor / Div) to speed the S.A.B.E.R.-2 phases.
Loadout note: these are the mid-2026 (Monument-era) jobs and archetypes — match the weekly surge when you pick your elements. For full, current builds, the class pages go deeper than any single route guide.
04 · Modifier Adjustment

What changes when the modifiers do

The route is evergreen, but the week's modifiers decide how you play it. The most common GM swings and the one adjustment each one asks for:

Medusa

Looking at affected enemies stacks Stasis slow toward a freeze. Brutal on the open Warsat defense and the boss's long sightlines — shorten your stares, peek-and-cover, and never hard-scope a lane you can't disengage from.

No Radar / Blackout

You lose your spawn warnings and melees hit harder — dangerous with cloaking Marauders in the bunker. Clear corners before committing, hold the catwalk pillars, and call enemy positions by voice.

Focused Fire

Heightened incoming damage. Tighten cover discipline everywhere and shorten your exposure windows — peek, fire, drop back. The boss's rifle opener, turret phase, and final rush all punish greedy exposure.

Harsh threat / surge

Slot the matching resist mod for the threat element and match your DPS element to the surge on S.A.B.E.R.-2. A burn/surge modifier amplifies the boss's already-heavy incoming damage; a mismatched surge can add a phase.

Champion types follow the weekly modifier set: the exact champions, banes, surge, threat, and player stakes come from the week's GM Alert modifier list, shown on the launch screen.
05 · Common Wipes

Why teams actually lose this

Most of it is the opening defense and the boss's two one-shots. Fallen S.A.B.E.R. wipes groups in four predictable ways — kill these habits and the run is yours.

1

Misreading the boss phase

S.A.B.E.R.-2's rifle opener punishes exposed peeks, its turret phase punishes weak cover, and its final Arc rush punishes slow rotations. Burst from behind a pillar, drop back between volleys, and never trade your body for one more hit on the boss.

2

Caught by the charge

The late-phase charge / rush detonates and instantly kills at close range. Watch for the tell, keep an escape lane, and never DPS pinned against a wall in the final phase.

3

Overwhelmed at the Warsat

The opening defense is the most-cited GM fail point: adds plus Overload Captains and a Barrier Servitor in a low-cover area. Don't root in the open — rotate cover, clear champions on sight, and bank tokens.

4

Leaving champions alive

A live Overload Captain or Barrier Servitor ganks the team later — and the weekly burn/surge modifier amplifies incoming damage, so a skipped champion hits harder than you remember. Clear champions before advancing.

Weekly reward: when Fallen S.A.B.E.R. is the active Grandmaster Alert, a Grade B or better clear awards the week's featured weapon at Tier 5 (first clear pre-masterworked with its origin trait). The weapon changes weekly — this route is evergreen, the reward is not. See the hub reward ladder.
