Warden ofNothing

A Reef-era Fallen strike, re-taught in modern Grandmaster Vanguard Alert language. Ride the transport tunnels of the Prison of Elders, deep in the Reef, manage champion frame coverage instead of old Artifact mods, and finish The Mad Warden — a malfunctioning High Servitor with almost no health and a lethal Solar detonation. The whole run hangs on one clean burn window.

What this run really is

Warden of Nothing is a winding Fallen-held strike through the Prison of Elders — but in a Grandmaster Alert its danger isn't the layout, it's the instant-death transport trains on the way in and the one-shot burn window on the Mad Warden at the end. Treat the tunnels as a hazard course and the boss room as a single coordinated burst, not a sustained DPS grind.

The one-sentence identity

Push through the Prison's transport tunnels and Vex cellblocks, defuse the arena splinter mines under add and champion pressure, then burst the Mad Warden Servitor down in one window before its room-wide Solar detonation and summoned Cabal/Vex reinforcements wipe the team.

Everything you bring serves three jobs: survive the approach, cover the champion types present, and stack burst for the Warden. Build for those, not for the trash.

What old guides get wrong

  • They tell you to slot a seasonal anti-Champion Artifact mod. Stun is frame-intrinsic now — bring the right archetypes (weapon guide).
  • They quote a fixed champion list. GM champion types and counts follow the weekly modifier set.
  • They name a specific Adept reward. The chase is the weekly Tier 5 weapon, and it changes every reset.
  • They treat the Mad Warden as a tank-and-spank. It has very low health — the threat is its Solar detonation and reinforcement wave, which punish a slow burn, not a high health bar.
01 · Champion Coverage

Cover the frames, not the mods

Anti-Champion is built into weapon frames now — there's no Artifact mod to forget. Bring archetypes that cover the types the week assigns. Champion types follow the weekly modifier set.

Per weekly modifier set

Barrier

› Pierce / break the shield
Fallen Servitors and Cabal Centurions wear the Barrier tag here. Bring a Barrier-intrinsic frame to strip the shield, then finish. Don't waste a Super into an unbroken shield.
Per weekly modifier set

Overload

› Disrupt to stop the heal
Overload Fallen Captains regenerate and teleport. An Overload frame interrupts them so they stop healing — focus them first or they reset the room.
Some weeks

Unstoppable

› Stagger before it charges
When present, Unstoppable Cabal or Vex units rush and hit hard. An Unstoppable frame staggers them at range — stun, then delete before they close the gap.
The modifier readout, every time: (1) enemy pressure — which champions, shields, and faction units; (2) weekly modifiers — surge, threat, banes, player stakes; (3) the single modifier most likely to wipe a casual team; (4) one build swap that answers it. Run that readout on the launch screen before every GM Alert. Champion types follow the weekly modifier set. The hub's modifier glossary explains Medusa, Focused Fire, and the rest.
02 · The Route

The Prison, top to bottom

Five beats: the entry tunnels, the Vex cellblock and its Minotaur, the arena splinter-mine defusal, the Cabal Colossus, and the Mad Warden's correction labs. The skill is not eating a transport train on the way in and landing one clean burn at the end. Here's the route at a glance; each beat below carries its own notes.

Full routePrison entry → correction labs
Warden of Nothing full route A top-to-bottom route through five areas following the blue path: 1 Prison entry and transport tunnels with moving prisoner-transport trains that instantly kill, 2 the Vex cellblock and a Vex Minotaur mini-boss, 3 the arena splinter-mine defusal where mines must be defused in sequence under add pressure, 4 a Cabal Colossus mini-boss summoned as the final arena round, and 5 the correction labs where the Mad Warden Servitor must be burst down before its room-wide Solar detonation. Champion spawn zones, the lethal transport rails, and the boss burn room are marked. ▼ deeper 1 Entry · transport tunnels Prison Tunnels Rail trains instantly kill · use side platforms lethal rails 2 Cellblock · Vex Vex Cellblock Minotaur mini-boss · Vex-held corridors Minotaur 3 Arena · mines Splinter Mines Defuse in sequence · failure wipes the team defuse timer 4 Arena · final round Cabal Colossus Named Colossus closes the arena · then descend heavy pressure 5 Boss · correction labs The Mad Warden Low-HP Servitor · burst before its Solar detonation burn window

1
Beat · Prison entry & transport tunnels

The Transport Tunnels

"The trains kill faster than any champion — stay off the rails."
The loop
  1. Fight through the Prison of Elders entrance — Vex adds and an entrance champion — then move into the rail/transport tunnels.
  2. Cross using the side platforms, or time your run along the rails between trains. A moving prisoner-transport train is an instant kill — never stand in the lane.
  3. Regroup past the tunnels before pushing on; don't let one player race ahead onto the tracks.
TrainsThe transport trains are the biggest avoidable death in the strike. Learn the gap, watch the lane, and cross as a group — no blind sprints across the rails.
ThreatMatch the weekly threat element with a resist mod before the first real fight — GM chip damage in the tunnels adds up fast if you're trading shots in the open.
PaceThis beat is forgiving on Normal and lethal on GM only if you rush blind. Move as a group; a hero run here burns a revive token you'll want at the Warden.
2
Beat · Vex cellblock / Minotaur

The Vex Cellblock

"A held corridor and a named Minotaur stand between you and the arena."
The loop
  1. Push through the Vex-held cellblock areas. The Vex hold tight corridors — clear with the matching frame coverage before advancing.
  2. Defeat the named Vex Minotaur Apaktos, Oxidizing Mind that gates the route forward.
  3. Strip its shield if it spawns shielded, focus it down together, then mop up the Vex trash before moving to the arena.
ChampionExpect Barrier or Overload support around the Minotaur. Call the type, strip or disrupt with the right frame, then collapse on it as a group.
SightlinesVex Hobgoblins snipe down the cellblock lanes. Peek one lane at a time and break line of sight — don't hard-scope a corridor you can't disengage from.
TacticHowever it spawns, the play is the same: shield-strip, focus, advance. Don't peel off to chase trash until the Minotaur is down.
3
Beat · Arena: splinter mine defusal

The Splinter Mine Arena

"Defuse on the clock while the room throws everything at you."
The loop
  1. Enter the main arena. Defuse the splinter mines in sequence — one mine first, then two more — by standing in or under their fields.
  2. While someone holds a mine field, the rest of the team fights off waves of adds and champions. Failing to defuse in time wipes the team (hard timer).
  3. Rotate who sits the field so no single player gets overwhelmed; keep the champions stunned so the defuser isn't deleted mid-cast.
TimerThe mine defusal is a wipe mechanic on a clock. Assign the defuser before you start, protect them, and don't let the field go uncovered — a missed timer ends the run outright.
ChampionChampions spawn into the arena during the defusal. Stun on cooldown and keep them off the player sitting the mine field; a free Barrier Servitor can stall the whole phase.
RadarIf Medusa or No Radar is active, the open arena is dangerous. Hold a cover edge, call spawns by voice, and don't over-peek while you're committed to a field.
4
Beat · Cabal Colossus mini-boss

The Cabal Colossus

"The arena's final round is a named Colossus — clear it, then drop."
The loop
  1. After the mines, the Cabal Colossus Ta'aul, Disgraced Colossus is summoned as the final arena round.
  2. Use cover against its Slug Rifle barrage; it suppresses an exposed team fast. Peek, fire, and drop back behind hard cover.
  3. Burn the Colossus down to close the arena, then take the fake treasure chamber / elevator down into the correction labs.
Slug fireThe Colossus's continuous heavy fire is the threat, not its health. Stay behind cover and chip it between bursts rather than tanking the stream in the open.
AmmoThis is the last calm beat before the boss. Top up Special and Heavy and agree who grabs bricks — you want full Heavy and Supers ready for the Warden burn.
Second ColossusA second named Colossus, Zhagal, also turns up as a boss-room reinforcement later. Same fight either way — cover, chip, clear.
5
Boss · Correction labs

The Mad Warden, in one burn window

"Almost no health — the danger is its Solar detonation, not its health bar."
The loop
  1. Drop through the fake treasure chamber / elevator into the correction labs. The Mad Warden — a malfunctioning High Servitor — is your boss.
  2. It fires a continuous high-damage Solar beam and summons Cabal/Vex reinforcements. Stay behind cover and avoid the beam while you set up.
  3. As its health drops it unleashes a room-wide Solar Detonation / scorch attack. The fix is to not give it time — burn it in one window.
  4. On the call, dump Supers + Heavy together and burst it down in a single high-damage window before the detonation goes off.
  5. Killing the boss immediately ends the strike and despawns remaining adds — there is no extra phase to survive once it's dead.
DetonationThe room-wide Solar detonation / scorch is the #1 cause of death here. If your burn is slow, the scorch or the summoned wave catches the team — so coordinate the burst, don't drip damage in.
BurstThe Warden has very low health. A stacked Super + Heavy window deletes it before it can punish you. Save cooldowns through the descent so they're all up at the door.
AddsDon't get tunnel-vision on the Servitor — the summoned Cabal/Vex can overwhelm a team that fixates. One player watches reinforcements while the rest burn.
Map · Correction LabsBoss · The Mad Warden
The Mad Warden boss-room map An enclosed correction-lab chamber. The Mad Warden, a Servitor with very low health, floats at the centre and fires a continuous high-damage Solar beam in the direction it faces. As its health drops it triggers a room-wide Solar detonation and scorch that covers the whole floor, and it summons Cabal and Vex reinforcements from side doors. Cover pillars sit around the edge. The standard tactic shown is to stack the team behind cover and burst the Warden down with Supers and Heavy in one window before the detonation; killing it immediately ends the strike and despawns the adds. room-wide solar detonation radius The Mad Warden low HP · burst in one window solar beam burst from cover Cabal/Vex reinforcements ⚠ burn it before the detonation — killing it ends the strike and despawns all adds

Bring four jobs, not four guns

A GM team is happiest when each player owns a job. Full build cards live in the class guides and the Prismatic deep dive — these are the jobs to fill and the archetypes that fill them. Names rotate with the meta; the jobs don't.

Anchor / Control

Room control + self-sustain

Hold space through add waves and the arena defusal.

  • Warlock — Void Devour or the Prismatic Getaway loop.
  • Titan — Strand Banner of War for team woven mail.
  • A reliable add-clear Primary that respects the surge.

Champion Lock

Frame coverage

Carry the intrinsic stuns the week assigns.

  • Barrier + Overload frames as the baseline here.
  • Add an Unstoppable frame on weeks it appears.
  • See the weapon guide for which archetypes carry each stun.

Boss Burst

One-window Warden burn

The Warden has low HP — stacked burst deletes it in one go.

  • Hunter — Nighthawk Golden Gun for a clean single-shot nuke.
  • Titan — Thundercrash as a burst swap.
  • A high-damage Heavy (rocket / LFR) saved for the burn window.

Emergency Support

Safe revive / reset

The insurance that saves a token.

  • Hunter — Void invis (Gyrfalcon / Omnioculus) for safe rezzes.
  • A healing or overshield tool for the boss room.
  • A debuff (Tractor / Div) to make the Warden burn instant.
Loadout note: these are the mid-2026 (Monument-era) jobs and archetypes — match the weekly surge when you pick your elements. For full, current builds, the class pages go deeper than any single route guide.
04 · Modifier Adjustment

What changes when the modifiers do

The route is evergreen, but the week's modifiers decide how you play it. The most common GM swings and the one adjustment each one asks for:

Medusa

Looking at affected enemies stacks Stasis slow toward a freeze. Shorten the cellblock and arena sightlines, peek-and-cover, and never hard-scope a lane you can't disengage from — being frozen in the open mine arena is a free death.

No Radar / Blackout

You lose your spawn warnings and melees hit harder. Clear corners before committing, watch for reinforcements in the Warden room, and call enemy positions by voice.

Focused Fire

Heightened incoming damage. Tighten cover discipline everywhere and shorten your exposure windows — peek, fire, drop back. The Colossus's slug fire and the Warden's Solar beam both bite twice as hard under it.

Harsh threat / surge

Slot the matching resist mod for the threat element and match your DPS element to the surge for the Warden burn. A mismatched surge can leave you short of the one-window kill and into the detonation.

Champion types follow the weekly modifier set: the exact champions, banes, surge, threat, and player stakes come from the week's GM Alert modifier list, shown on the launch screen.
05 · Common Wipes

Why teams actually lose this

Almost none of it is a fair fight. Warden of Nothing wipes groups in four predictable ways — kill these habits and the run is yours.

1

Eating a transport train

The moving prisoner-transport trains in the tunnel section are an instant kill. Stay on the side platforms or time the rails between trains — never blind-sprint across the lane.

2

A slow Warden burn

Fail to burst the Mad Warden before its room-wide Solar detonation / scorch and you die to the scorch or the wave of summoned Cabal/Vex. Stack Supers and Heavy and kill it in one window.

3

Missing the mine defusal

Not defusing the splinter mines in time during the arena wipes the team outright. Assign a defuser, protect the field, and keep champions stunned so the cast isn't interrupted.

4

Drowning in champions

Multiple Champions (Barrier / Overload / Unstoppable) at once overwhelm a team without the right anti-Champion frames. Champion types follow the weekly modifier set; bring matching coverage — never improvise stun mid-fight.

Weekly reward: when Warden of Nothing is the active Grandmaster Alert, a Grade B or better clear awards the week's featured weapon at Tier 5 (first clear pre-masterworked with its origin trait). The weapon changes weekly — this route is evergreen, the reward is not. See the hub reward ladder.
