A planar-traversal exotic mission in the Pinnacle Ops where you storm Fikrul’s Revenant Fortress on the Tangled Shore, mirror-stepping between the material plane and the Revenant Plane to win Slayer’s Fang — an Exotic Void shotgun whose final blows Weaken and whose submunitions stun Overload Champions.
The mirror-stepping isn’t a gimmick — it’s the only way to touch something that refuses to stay dead. Here’s the story behind the two planes.
On the Tangled Shore you storm Fikrul the Fanatic’s Revenant Fortress — the Scorn Baron who cheats death through Hive-taught necromancy. The mission mirror-steps between the material plane and the deathly Revenant Plane, where the Scorn’s undying essence actually lives.
Your reward is built for exactly this work. Slayer’s Fang, the Void shotgun, layers Weaken and Overload-stun submunitions — a hunter made to put down things that keep reassembling.
Step through the mirror to strike what the living side can’t, harvest the essence that stitches the Scorn back together, and make the kill finally stick.
Intrinsic — Nightsworn Sight: final blows grant Truesight, boost reload speed and precision damage, and make the gun’s submunitions Weaken what they hit — so kills snowball into more debuffed, easier kills.
Heart Piercer: rounds shatter into submunitions on impact, and that submunition burst gives the shotgun built-in anti-Overload Champion stun — a rare slot of native Champion disruption on a Void special.
Craft it: under the Pinnacle Ops economy your first completion drops Slayer’s Fang with Deepsight Resonance — extract or dismantle it to unlock the craftable pattern, then build it at the Enclave. Each additional standard clear grants an intrinsic-upgrade material to slot when crafting.
Catalysts: Slayer’s Fang carries four selectable “Refits” — Repulsor Brace, Stats For All, Cascade Point, and Loose Change — earned from higher-difficulty clears (the Director’s reward preview shows the tier). Only one Refit sockets at a time, swappable at the Enclave.
Open the Director, go to Vanguard Ops → Pinnacle Ops, then the Pinnacle tab, pick Kell’s Fall, and choose a difficulty before launching.
In the original Revenant release this was a story-gated node in the Last City; the standalone Exotic Rotator is deprecated and Kell’s Fall lives in Pinnacle Ops.
Storm the fortress, learn to mirror-step between two planes, and bank Revenant Essence in the mirror to strip immunity in the material world. The variant you’re running decides the final boss.
The final boss depends on the variant you’ve unlocked:
Mid-mission bosses throughout: Araskes the Trickster, Kaniks the Mad Bomber, and Hiraks the Mindbender. The Scorned Organist is a separate, optional secret boss — not a variant finale.
Stepping into the Revenant Plane lets you strike the death-side of what keeps rebuilding itself back among the living. The Weavers you kill there are the seamstresses of Scorn resurrection — harvesting their Revenant Essence is what strips a Baron’s immunity. The Refracting → Shattering timer is a borrowed tolerance running out: a death-realm rejecting a living intruder who lingers too long.
Slayer’s Fang is a close-range Void shotgun that Weakens on kills and stuns Overload — so pair it with the artifact that feeds the Void debuff loop and rewards Void final blows. The Artifact 2.0 layer accelerates the build — it doesn’t gate it.
Why: its Void Breach engine — Unto the Breach (Void-debuffed kills spawn Breaches) → Protective Breach (pickups become a Void Overshield) → Supernova (your next Void hit becomes a Weakening pulse) — feeds overshield and stacks Weaken right alongside the shotgun’s Void final blows. Slayer’s Fang is constantly creating debuffed kills, which is exactly what lights the loop.
Alternative: Tablet of Ruin — Volatile Marksman and the Maligned Harvest Weakening burst stack Volatile and Weaken onto Slayer’s Fang’s weakening submunitions, and its anti-Taken kit is handy in the Scorn-and-mirror chaos of the throne room.
Race the Vex-corrupted Nessus core for Choir of One, the Void special auto rifle.
