A free-to-play, timed exotic mission through the ruined Old Tower in the Pinnacle Ops. You race the clock against the House of Salvation, run a parkour gauntlet, solve SIVA-vault puzzles, and beat Siriks to earn Outbreak Perfected — the SIVA-nanite pulse rifle, now fully craftable through repeat clears.
The clock isn't just a difficulty knob — it's a race against the Fallen for a resurrected plague. Here's the story behind the run.
The House of Salvation breaks into the ruined "Old Tower" — destroyed in the Red War — to recover the dormant SIVA-nanite frame of Outbreak Prime. You race the collapsing Tower to reach the SIVA vault before they do.
Getting there first is the reward. You reforge the gun as Outbreak Perfected — the SIVA-nanite pulse whose stacking-nanite perks are the resurrected plague-tech the whole mission is scrambling to secure.
Beat the Fallen to the vault, wake the nanites on your terms instead of theirs, and carry the plague out as a weapon rather than a threat.
Intrinsic — The Corruption Spreads: sustained fire releases SIVA nanites that deal escalating damage to a target, ramping the longer you stay on it. The nanite swarm is its whole identity — a primary that out-grinds tougher health pools the more you commit to one enemy.
Craft it: your first completion drops a Deepsight Outbreak Perfected. Take it to the Relic in the Enclave on Mars and extract its essence to unlock the craftable pattern, then build your own copy. Each repeat clear awards an intrinsic crafting upgrade, and the three optional in-mission vault puzzles feed the enhanced "The Corruption Spreads" intrinsic via the Vaulted Obstacles Triumph.
Catalyst: Disease Vector comes from the catalyst path and boosts SIVA-nanite damage; precision final blows charge it (the Director’s reward preview shows the tier).
Open the Director and launch Zero Hour from Pinnacle Ops at the Old Tower ruins. It is permanently available and free-to-play.
Pick a difficulty from Advanced to Ultimate, then go; the Director shows the time limit for your setup, and beating it adds score. The timer starts immediately, so the entire run is one continuous push.
A timed sprint through the Old Tower: combat arenas, collapsing parkour, a sweeper-bot maze, and a symbol puzzle, ending on Siriks. The clock runs the whole time — keep moving.
The final arena is a straight fight against Siriks — the Fallen leader serving Eramis. There's no immunity-puzzle gate like Whisper's Ogre; the challenge is surviving the add pressure and turrets while keeping the clock alive.
Clear adds and any turrets or Champions before each damage window, then commit your heavy. Running out of special and heavy ammo against his adds is the most common wipe — top off before you walk in.
SIVA is self-replicating Golden Age nanotech, so the vault’s Rasputin-era symbol lock guards it and the weapon’s stacking-nanite damage is literally SIVA swarming a target. The TR3-VR sweeper is a lingering security drone still patrolling the ruin — time the corridors around its rounds. Siriks is a straight fight because the real mechanic is the timer: the whole mission is a race to the SIVA before the House of Salvation claims it.
Outbreak Perfected is a kinetic primary whose damage builds the longer you keep nanites on a target, so pair it with the artifact that keeps a kinetic primary fed and firing. The Artifact 2.0 layer accelerates the build — it doesn't gate it.
Why: its kinetic-weapon economy — Kinetic Synthesis ammo bricks and the Kinetic Siphon helmet mods — keeps Outbreak Perfected's magazine and reserves topped so the sustained SIVA-nanite ramp never has to stop for ammo. A primary that wants to stay on one target for a long time is exactly the loadout this artifact rewards.
Alternative: NPA Repulsion Regulator — on an Arc or Void build, its weapon-mod discounts and ability economy support a primary-anchored loadout, freeing energy and ability uptime around Outbreak as your damage engine.
Where Outbreak Perfected fits in a primary-anchored kit, plus the heavies to pair with it.
